While we’re not judging your ability to sell our products, we do encourage you to read and consider
the following tips. We believe they are the key to a successful boost in sales.
Classifieds
Believe it or not, they work, especially if you use a bunch of keywords. We strongly recommend you include the name of our products in them. A good description would look like this:
DA PLACE 2 SHOP – Come one, come all! We have everything you could possibly need in your (second) life! From fine jewelry to the latest weapons in the market!
Keywords: jewelry, da place 2 shop,
, jadSOFT, jFlash, XtremeTag, Exousia, Ownage Reloaded, Deformer Package, etc.
Land Description
Unfortunately, as of this date, the “About Land” window has a single-line textbox for you to fit in a bunch of crap. However, you can fit a bunch of crap in it. It’s a good idea to include the keywords you included in your classified in this small -but powerful- textbox.
Demos
Currently, we only offer automated product demos for a few of our products in our Merchant Package. But, that doesn’t mean you can’t demo a product to a potential customer from time to time. Some people just don’t trust the picture on the vendor. They want to see it in action before purchasing it.
Visibility = $
We’ve taken the time to make the jadSOFT Personal Vendors modifiable. This means you can resize them according to your needs and likes. However, we do encourage you to use large sizes that make the product pictures more visible and legible. Remember, a lot of people in SL don’t know how to zoom in. And if they see a vendor so small they can’t really read without zooming, they’ll most likely ignore it.
Slideshow Mode
Since version 1.2 of our Merchant Package, most vendors come with a slideshow feature. In slideshow mode, vendors will change the product displayed on the main panel for the next one after a certain amount of time. This, of course, will only happen when the vendor is not being used. To enable this option, click your jadSOFT Personal Vendor, then…

NOTE: This does not apply to single-item vendors, only to multi-panel vendors.
Sale Notification
By default (I think), the jadSOFT Personal Vendors will send you an instant message after a customer has purchased a product. If you’re a kick-ass merchant and sell a lot, you might want to turn this off. Click your vendor and then…
